Project Approved

Altea Town Council yesterday formally approved a project for the Algar river Estuary known as the Fuentes del Algar and promoted by the Ballester Group. The plans call for the building of almost 6,000 homes, four hotel areas, three commercial zones and an 18-hole golf course. In order for the project to go ahead, the Town hall has had to undertake a juggling act with land in the municipality in order to free up the 2.57 million square metres necessary for the project to go ahead.
