Going all the Way

It is now believed that Altea will finally demolish what is left of the building that collapsed last Monday, destroying the Altea Luz shop alongside the N-332 main road. However, a brief statement from the town hall revealed that this would only be undertaken once a full study of the affected area had been completed.

Also in Altea yesterday, the ecological groups Greenpeace, WWF and Ecologists in Action demanded once again that work be halted on the extension of the Campomanes Port. The joint statement revealed that the promoter – Marina Greenwich – had received two orders from the Valencian Government to stop the works – on July 29 and October 30 – and both had been ignored.
