La Vall de Gallinera is in the Marina Alta region, and it is one of the most scenic areas in the province of Alicante.  The visitor can find amazing valleys and mountains, castles, fortresses.

This area is famous for its cherry trees, which are the symbol of the valley, producing delicious cherries. The cherry picking season is a good time to pay a visit to la Vall de la Gallinera, as the X Cherry Festival is held this year from 4th-6th June. This promises to be weekend full of activities with exhibitions, music, street parades, homemade gastronomic produce, and the World Cherry Stone Throwing Championship!
