Fires of San Juan (Alicante)
Alicante celebrates the arrival of summer with the Bonfires of San Juan....[ more ]
According to the enormous plume of smoke visible from one Valencia Trader office, near Xativa, something was not quite right in the direction of Barxeta and Simat.
The smoke was visible from about 7pm on the Tuesday evening of 12th July 2005.
By midnight a firy glow was visible on the horizon looking from Canals across Xativa (but we have yet to confirm whether this was the same fire or another!).
